How does Bio-35 work?
The human body can only function properly when all nutrient components are available at the same time. Due to refining, processing, and filtering of most foods which we eat many essential nutrients are lost, especially the omega 3, 6, & 9 fatty acids and enzymes. These essential nutrients are vital to the maintenance of a healthy body. Bio-35 contains a balanced concentrate of the following essential nutrient groups:
- Omega Fatty Acids. (3, 6 & 9 also known as HDLs)
- Enzymes & Amino Acids
- Vitamins & B Complexes
- Minerals & Trace Minerals
By providing a balance of all essential nutrients, Bio-35 fortifies the body with a whole "chain" of essential nutrients versus specific individual nutrient "links" that most supplements do.
Bio-35 approaches the form of "natural" foods which you would normally eat to obtain the essential nutrients your body needs.
What is the difference between Bio-35 and Pro-80?
Bio-35 and Pro-80 are very similar, both increase your energy, build your immune system and provide the essential nutrients to help your body heal.
The differences are: Bio-35 is in a soft gelatin capsule form, the Omega 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids come from five different grains,(flaxseed, soybean, wheat , rice and safflower). These oils are cold pressed to presserve quality and integrity.
Pro-80 is in a tablet form, the Omega 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids come from the whole soybean, wheat germ and dandelion root. There are also some other minor source differences in Pro-80.
The reason for both Bio-35 and Pro-80 is that some individuals find they can not tolerate an ingredient in one or the other, but they can usually take the other one and get the results they are looking for.
We recommend trying Bio-35 first, it being a soft gelatin capsule. It is easier to swallow, no ordor, and has a high absorption rate.
How often do I take Bio-35 and how much at one time?
The recommended dosage of Bio-35 is one soft gelatin capsule, three times a day for an average size individual. Four soft gelatin capsules per day, for individuals with serious chronic illnesses or over 240 pounds.
Ideally taking one soft gel at a time is best, but you can take two a time if needed. Taking any more than two soft gels at a time is not recommended as the body will not assimilate the nutrients and most will be flushed away.
Can Bio-35 be taken with food?
Yes, many individuals find that it is easier to remember to take Bio-35® with their meals.
Should I continue to take my present multi-vitamin mineral supplement when taking Bio-35?
No, Bio-35 provides the essential nutrients your body needs and taking another multi would be wasted by the body. There are some single nutrient items that you may want to take with Bio-35 like, calcium (Pro-Cal), fish oil, flaxseed oil, vitamin C, vitamin E, etc.
Does Bio-35 have any interactions with medications?
Bio-35 is very safe and effective. We are not aware of any interactions, but would advise you to ask your doctor, if you have concerns with the medications you are currently taking.
Can children or teenagers take Bio-35?
Yes, but the dosage should be reduced. 8 to 12 year olds can take one soft gelatin capsule daily. 13-17 year olds can take up to two soft gelatin capsules daily. Not recommended for children under the age of 8 years old.
What is Glucosamine?
Glucosamine is a sugar / amino acid molecule. Most glucosamine comes from refined shellfish, thus individuals who are allergic to shell fish need to careful about looking at the source before taking.
Glucosamine builds and maintains cartilage, tendons and other connective tissues in the body by acting as a building block for these materials and inhibiting enzymes that destroy cartilage. When the body does not have an adequate supply of glucosamine, arthritis – most commonly osteoarthritis – can develop. Glucosamine works by preventing the cartilage destruction, joint pain, swelling and loss of flexibility in a natural way and without the harmful side effects that are associated with NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofen, etc) or COX-2 drugs.
How Long Before I See Results?
Because glucosamine works from within, to heal your joints instead of merely covering up the pain, starting to see results can take from six to eight weeks. Most of the studies and clinical trials were done with patients taking between 1500 mg and 2000 mg per day. It is also recommended that you double up on the does for the first two weeks (3,000mg -4,000 mg per day).
Can Bio-35 be taken while Pregnant or Nursing?
Yes, Bio-35 is an excellent prenatal supplement and is more balanced for what you and your unborn growing baby need. Bio-35 provides the Omega 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids, trace minerals and enzymes that are key to the development of nerve and brain cells, along with a balance of vitamins, minerals and Folic Acid to help prevent birth defects.
Continue taking Bio-35 during nursing it will help you cope with all the changes and adjustments, and will provide the nutrition your baby needs.
If you are already pregnant and are just starting to take Bio-35 we recommend that you start with just one capsule per day for the first week, and then take one capsule twice per day for a week and then take one capsule three times per day at that point. The reason for this is to let your body have time to adjust to the nutritional change that you are giving it, also if you take all three to start with in the same day you may get nauseas.
What is the difference between Hcl (hydrochloride) and Sulfate?
Because raw glucosamine is unstable by itself – it needs to be bound to a carrier molecule in order to be stored for any period of time. Both Hcl (hydrochloride) and Sulfate are used as carriers for glucosamine.
Studies have shown that both Glucosamine Hcl and Glucosamine Sulfate are equally effective in protecting joints from further cartilage damage. So which to use comes down to a personal preference. Some individuals find that one form seems to work better for them then the other. So you may want to try one form for a while and switch to the other to determine which is best for you personal use.
